If you are an in-service teacher, university lecturer, educational technologist, or any other educational practitioner, the micro-degree programme “Transformative Technology Use For Education Futures” offers the possibility to develop your capacity to use technology in education meaningfully. During the micro-degree programme, you will also have the opportunity to be part of an international community of educational researchers and practitioners devoted to studying and exploring the role of educational technology in contemporary learning.
In cooperation with ESTDEV we can offer 5 scholarships (free participation in micro-degree programme and covering the travel and accommodation costs) for Armenian, Georgian and Moldovian citizens.
In cooperation with Mondo we can offer 8 scholarships (free participation in micro-degree programme degree and covering the travel and accommodation costs) for Ukrainian citizens.
The degree will be delivered in a blended format and will cover one semester. The course starts with an onsite session from 9th to 17th August in Tartu and will have dedicated workshops on Technology Use in Education. From September onwards, the course will continue with several online courses on Postdigital Literacy, New Learning Paradigms and Critical Issues of Technology Use in Education. The learning process will also be supported by regular web-seminars led by the programme director.
The micro-degree programme is specifically designed for those working full-time or who would like to develop their professional capacity in educational technology. Also, the credits awarded for the micro-degree programme (18 ECTS) can be transferred to the related master’s programme in Educational Technology (60 ECTS).

The aim of the micro-degree programme is to support the professional development of teaching staff, as well as their leaders and advisors, to ensure they are effective in implementing contemporary learning approaches. This includes fostering self-directed, collaborative learners who wisely utilize educational technology to enhance the learning process.
Conditions for enrollment: bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification (must be obtained by the end of June) and at least 3 years of professional experience in a teaching position or in a position in which teaching staff are supervised or advised. Candidates with a master's degree or equivalent qualification do not need to prove their work experience.
Period of study: 9 August 2025 - 31 January 2026
Credit points: 18 ECTS (468 academic hours: 73 hours of lectures, 30 hours internship, 365 hours of independent work, incl. e-learning)
Price: 1620€.

Suitable candidates will be selected based on their motivation letters, and they will have an online interview in the first half of June (in English).
