Australian inclusive education expert gives guest lecture on 14 strategies for student engagement

On May 20, from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m., Associate Professor Ingrid Harrington from the University of New England, Australia will hold a guest lecture at University of Tartu on the award-winning project “Commencing Student Success Project”. The project provides 14 strategies aimed at helping all students feel supported at university and enhancing their academic success.

Associate Professor Ingrid Harrington is the author and lead of the project “Commencing Student Success Project” (CSSP). Through the project, 14 evidence-based inclusive student engagement strategies were developed, that have improved the overall student experience, engagement, and retention of students in the School of Education at UNE.

The project has been recognised at both state and national level in Australia.

The lecture is open to university lecturers, teacher education students, and anyone interested in the field of education. All participants are kindly asked to register via the online form.

The one-hour lecture takes place on Tuesday, May 20, from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the Institute of Education at University of Tartu (room A218/219, Jakobi 5, Tartu). It will also be available via Zoom and will be recorded.
