Research and development activities in educational technology address the impact of technology on learning and social interactions to provide teachers, researchers and policymakers with solutions to improve teaching and learning practices.
We investigate a range of areas such as digital competence, computer-supported inquiry-based learning, sociotechnical imaginaries related to emerging technologies, virtual reality, computational thinking, innovative educational technologies, video-supported learning and online blended learning.
Our work is very interdisciplinary. Throughout the years we have been involved in several different project. More recently, in one of our projects (DigiEfekt) we study how learning in digital environments affects academic outcomes in a range of subjects such as science, mathematics and language as well as how digital learning affects factors such as learning skills, agency, socio-emotional skills and self-regulation skills.
